The dinner will take place at Palazzo Cavour, a fine example of Piedmontese baroque architecture of the 18th century. The palace was built in 1729 following a design by the Italian Engineer Giovanni Giacomo Plantery and was commissioned by Michel Antonio conte di Cavour. His grandson, the statesman Camillo Benso conte di Cavour, spent much of his life in the palace, which then became one of the most important historical buildings in Turin. In its rooms, the newspaper “Il Risorgimento” was founded and the main exponents of that historical period discussed the fate of the new country of Italy.
The dinner will be held on Wednesday evening, starting from 20:30.
The entrance to the Palace is on via Cavour 8, from which a covered entrance hall and baroque stairs lead to the first floor. The Palace then extends along different rooms, where participants will find wine and food, seats and jazz music.
